I was given an opportunity to create audiobooks cheaply
Lest I be misunderstood, this is NOT Sir Richard Burton style narration. It’s not multiple voices for a scene. It is one (electronically generated) voice, and no opportunity to change the voice on a less than chapter-size piece. I’ve listened a little, and dialog or conversations, in particular, can be confusing.
But for those who want audiobooks, it is a way to serve your market.
If a way opens up that is economically viable to improve these works (for instance, if I start selling many thousands of copies of the audiobooks), I will take advantage, but this was the best I could do with current tools.
It’s available on Amazon only, and there is a size limit – the series omnibus book for Rediscovery is not eligible. But all of my other books have been so enabled. I tried to pick viewpoint-character appropriate voices for all of them, so the books where Grace is the viewpoint character sound as much like Grace as was available. The same for Joe, Alexan, and Mark.
I just checked, and all of the Audiobooks are apparently live.
Here is my overall Amazon page: https://www.amazon.com/author/danmelson Select the book you’re interested in and the audiobook option appear.
(This is NOT an April Fool’s joke)
