Was talking with one of my old accounting instructors who suggested I invest the time for hardcover editions, “Just the existence of a hardcover pulls the whole catalog up!”
So I’m working on it, one series at a time. Due to the fact Bubbles of Creation is releasing next week, the first series I’m working on is Connected Realms. There are some significant issues I’m dealing with for the first time, but the price differential is actually smaller than formerly the case. Hardcovers are still more expensive, but the cost difference seems to be in the $5-10 range, not triple or more the paperback price.
So Fountains Of Aescalon, Monad Trap, and Bubbles Of Creation (when released on May 7) all have hardcover versions in the pipeline that will be available within the next few days. When those are all done and published, I’ll move on to the another series – I’m taking it one series at a time to avoid things getting lost in the shuffle.
Meanwhile, the novelization of A New Embassy continues apace. If you’ve missed previous discussion, it’s a standalone set in the Empire of Humanity. Already I’m approaching 20k words, and I hope to have it done before the end of the year.
After A New Embassy, I will likely move to the third Gates to Faerie novel. I’m also developing a new series set in Connected Realms, and I’m doing background for another Grace novel or two, and I really want to write an Ilras (Grace’s third child) story. There may even be another Joe and Asina novel in the future.
