I’m still working on Bubbles Of Creation, the third book in Connected Worlds. Alexan is insanely difficult to write – sometimes I push my way through a scene, taking a week or more to get a 2000 word scene right, and then realize that’s not the way he’d solve the issue at all.
I’m at a little over 53,000 words, out of a projected 70k. Since March. There have been medical issues, which I’m mostly recovered from, but there you have the reasons this will probably be the last novel centering on Alexan. I know I said that for The Monad Trap, also, but I can’t just write one book in a year (I do have an idea centering on Ansharos and Catharin, however). I’m hoping to have the story finished and ready for my readers by mid-February, which translates to late March or early April for release.
Next project will be a novelization of A New Embassy. I’m already working on plot, and I have most of the characters.
If you want something in the heart of the Empire of Humanity, like Politics Of Empire, I’m working on an idea centering on Urona, daughter of ScAnana and Parnit di Scimtar. It’s likely going to be after the next Gates To Faerie novel, but that is subject to change
For fans of Mark and Julie, the next Gates to Faerie is planned for after A New Embassy. It will likely open when they’re working on renovations to their new place, and there are clues in Gifts Of The Mother. So my line up of releases is looking like

- Urona novel (subject to change)
If you’re wondering about Joe and Asina, I do have an idea or two for them after they leave Calmena, and there are ideas percolating for at least one more Grace and Family story, but they’re not ready for dissemination yet. Of Grace’s children, Ilras in particular seems to cry out for his own story.
I also have ideas for half a dozen new things. So plenty to keep me busy writing for the foreseeable future.
